So obviously you can tell by the picture that today's post is about Hermione Granger, one of Harry Potter's best friends. Hermione is just sooo intellegent. I hate the sorting hat for not putting her in Ravenclaw! Emma Watson the actress who played Hermione is like a Feminism God. CHECK OUT THIS LINK!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXWBuoYc8SI

Malala Yousafzai. How could a name so powerful mean nothing to so many? You may not know this girl's story, so you're about to find out. The day: October 9, 2013. The place: Pakistan. That was when a 15 year old girl was shot in the left side of her face by the Taliban. Malala had been fighting for girls' education. The Taliban didn't even think girls\women should be able to go outside. Malala came so close to dying it's a miracle she lives to this day. For more information read I Am Malala co-written by Patricia Mccormick.

Today's entry is about Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You must remember this groundbreaking TV show from the '90s. You don't? You suck, hard. In case you do remember this series shows feminism in obvious ways. It depicts a teenage girl (Buffy Summers) struggles through life in a lot of extreme ways. She moves to the Hell Mouth a.k.a an imaginary town called Sunnydayle after finding out that she is the slayer. The slayer is one girl in all the world chosen every generation (or until the previous slayer dies) to fight vampires demons and the forces of evil. If you want to know more WATCH THE SHOW!

Anastasia the last grand dutchess of Russia was the only girl in her family to survive execution. Scientists who have done DNA tests on the Romanovs' remains have proof that the tsarvitch and Anastasia were missing. My theory is that when they were shot they pretended to be dead and then they rose from their coffins and ran away. Despite what the Disney movie says I doubt that Ratsputan rose from the dead and tried to kill Anastasia, even if he was a charlatan.

Cleopatra was an extrordinary queen of Egypt. The fact is she wasn't Egyptian at all! She was the last Ptomley to rule Egypt. Cleopatra was the only one who could speak to Egyptians and Romans in their own languages. So, Cleopatra asked protection from Julius Ceaser, Mark Antony asked protection of her. Comment down below if you think she's a symbol of feminism or a pychopath .

There is a drought of feminism at my school. Just yesterday a boy said that girls have flabby arms and are weak. He even went as far to say the he is superior because he is male. Another boy sad that boys get more exercise. So, I seriously think that feminism needs to be recognized in schools. If it's not boys could become sexist, and nobody wants that.

Tonight I'm going to a traveling Broadway performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. You may be wondering what this musical has to do with feminism. Well, there is something you may not have noticed, all the main characters are men except the narrator. My theory is that she's a feminist symbol through and through. She probably represents something like cleverness, and doesn't she help Joseph cheat on telling Pharaoh about his dreams? So basically she told Pharaoh about his dreams. Comment down below and tell me what you think about the narrator.

Hi, this is a new blog. It will keep you updated on feminist acts around the world. I will add a new post every Saturday. To start out with I would like to go over the definition of feminism. Feminism is, in my own opinion, believing that men are not, no matter what stronger, faster, or smarter than girls and women. It also means that you believe that women should be paid the same and given the same rights as men. You don't have to be an adult to know about feminism. If your nine years old and stumbled across this blog keep reading you have a right to know.
